AEBS — Applied Entrepreneurship & Business Systems — gives high school students the opportunity to move beyond introductory business concepts and engage in the kind of thinking, planning, analysis, and decision-making required in the real world.
Designed as a hands-on Business Launch Simulator, AEBS challenges students to build, test, refine, and defend a viable business system while developing skills that support college, career, entrepreneurship, leadership, and independent adulthood.

From Business Ideas to Business Systems

AEBS is designed to move students beyond the question, “What business would you like to start?”
Instead, students explore what it takes to make an idea actually work.
They examine customers, markets, products and services, operations, costs, pricing, risk, legal and ethical considerations, leadership, communication, and sustainability as parts of one connected system.
Throughout the program, students are challenged to support their decisions with evidence and answer one essential question:

A 10-Unit Business Launch Experience

AEBS is organized into ten sequential units that guide students from early concept development through the creation of a complete business system.
Each unit builds on the work that came before it, requiring students to evaluate assumptions, create business artifacts, refine their thinking, and make increasingly sophisticated decisions.
The program culminates in a Capstone Business System Defense, where students present their work and defend the reasoning behind their decisions.
